Creative Mindfulness Courses

Create with your hands, engage your senses and take time to be present.

My courses bring together looking at art, creative practice and simple mindfulness exercises. Working with different materials invites you to explore with curiosity, notice more closely and discover your own way of expressing yourself.

You don’t need any experience in art or meditation. You’re welcome to come as you are and begin from there.

Courses & Dates

The Art of Attention – An Eight-Part Course Series

Each of the eight parts explores a different aspect of mindfulness through a range of artistic media. We begin with flowers, followed by painting, clay, collage and more. The materials and practices offer different ways to explore each theme.

Each theme runs for around six weeks, with several dates to choose from during that time.

Every session is self-contained and can be booked individually. You’re welcome to join in any order and return to a theme as often as you like. Bookings are open for the dates currently listed.

The Art of Attention I – Looking Slowly

Slow down, spend time looking at art and create with flowers. As you explore colours, shapes and subtle details, you’ll draw inspiration for your own floral composition. Simple mindfulness practices guide you along the way. No prior experience is needed.

The Art of Attention II – Exploring Colour, Sensing the Body

Holding a brush, feeling your arm move and watching colour leave a trace on the paper: as we paint, we bring awareness to the body. Simple mindfulness practices invite you to notice sensations of touch, movement and breathing, gently shifting from thinking about your experience to sensing it directly. No painting experience is needed.

The Art of Attention III – Staying Present with Touch

Feeling the coolness of the clay, its texture and the resistance it offers beneath your hands: as we shape it, the sense of touch becomes an anchor for our attention. We practise noticing when the mind wanders and gently returning to the direct experience of touch, again and again. No experience of working with clay is needed.

What to Expect in Our Courses

We begin with a guided mindfulness practice to help us settle in and notice what is present. Each session explores a different theme – from mindful seeing and awareness of the body to how we relate to thoughts and habitual reactions.

We then spend time looking at selected artworks. Insights from art history and open-ended questions invite you to look more closely and notice your own responses. Each discussion connects with the theme of the session.

Next, we explore the theme through creative practice – working with flowers, paint, clay or other materials, depending on the course. You’ll receive a brief introduction to the materials and how to work with them. As you create, I offer gentle guidance and invitations to pause. Your experience is at the heart of the process; there is no particular artistic outcome to achieve.

Towards the end, we take time to look at what we’ve made and reflect on the experience. You’re welcome to share your observations if you wish. We bring the session to a close over a cup of tea, with a simple practice to explore in everyday life.

Tea and light refreshments are available throughout. You’re welcome to take a break whenever you need one.

What Makes Our Courses Special

Mindfulness Throughout
Each session explores a particular theme of mindfulness. Guided practices, looking at art and creative work come together to offer different ways of experiencing that theme.

Art as an Invitation to Explore
Selected artworks and insights from art history offer fresh perspectives. No prior knowledge is needed – your own observations and questions are welcome.

Learning Through the Senses
Flowers, paint, clay and other materials invite you to look, touch and explore. As you create, you practise bringing attention to your experience and returning gently to the present moment.

Freedom to Find Your Own Way
There is nothing you need to copy and no particular result to achieve. There is room to experiment, take breaks and experience things differently. What you share with the group is entirely up to you.

Personal Guidance in a Small Group
With six to nine participants, there is time for individual support, questions and conversation. Materials and tools are provided for each session.

Simple Practices for Everyday Life
A small practice to try at home helps you carry your experience into daily life. Tea, light refreshments and time to unwind together are also part of each session.

A Place for Calm and Creativity

At the studio in Hallbergmoos, we take time to notice, create and share.

If your place is filled at the same price, your course fee will be refunded in full. This also applies to cancellations made less than 10 days but at least 7 days before the session.
